One of my Christmas wishes just came true and words cannot express how grateful I am to a longtime friend of our page, Laurie Zuaro. Laurie very generously donated above and beyond the additional amount needed so that the "Tucker Cats," who we helped to sponsor from our last and very special teespring campaign (in remembrance of Snoop Silver) can be brought out of a high kill shelter and into the safe hands of the Homeward Trails Animal Rescue located in Arlington, Virginia. My greatest hope is that these beautiful cats will now be able to live long, healthy lives filled with lots of happiness and unconditional love. The kindness and generosity expressed here, especially during the holiday season has really helped to restore my faith in humanity. Together, we are giving animals the best gift of all; the gift of life. I look forward to.everything that lies ahead as we diligently continue our very important quest. Happy Holidays to all. -Heather Steall, Million People For Pets

Every time we run a successful teespring campaign, 10% of all profits are donated toward bringing animals out of a high kill shelter and into the safe hands of the Homeward Trails Animal Rescue located in Arlington, VA USA. Our last campaign was not only a success but also a very special one created IN REMEMBRANCE OF SNOOP SILVER." We decided to donate 50% of our profits to Homeward Trails which allowed us to help to sponsor the "Tucker Teens." Tucker is one of Homeward Trails rural shelters who works incredibly hard not to euthanize their cats. Another $45 is still needed in order to be able to save these beautiful animals. Please consider helping to sponsor the Tucker cats in any way you can so they can come into rescue and be given the chance to live a life filled with true unconditional love! Here is the link to donate: http://www.razoo.com/story/Tucker-Teens-1?referral_code=share. Thanks so much! -Heather Steall, Million People For Pets

Every time we run a successful teespring campaign, 10% of all profits are donated toward bringing an animal out of a high kill shelter and into the safe hands of the Homeward Trails Animal Rescue located in Arlington, VA USA. Thankfully, we reached our goal during our last campaign which ended last week and have decided to help sponsor Apollo & Veronica, last minute additions to the Homeward Trails sponsor page. They are being rescued in conjunction with 100 other dogs recently confiscated in a Tennessee puppy mill bust. The puppy mill dogs are all in poor condition. All of the adults taken from the property have at least one health issue. Homeward Trails has space at their adoption center to hold a few, but still need help getting them better. Veronica and Apollo both need dental surgery. Please consider donating to Veronica and Apollo's cause in any way you can so they can be healthy again and find their new forever homes. All animals deserve to live a life filled with unconditional love and one by one, we can all make a difference. -Heather Steall, Million People For Pets

Thankfully, we reached our goal during our last campaign which ended yesterday and have decided to help sponsor Delilah, an energetic female Lab/Border Collie mix who is 6-8 months old and weighs 35lbs. Every time we run a successful teespring campaign, 10% of all profits will be donated toward bringing an animal out of a high kill shelter and into the safe hands of the Homeward Trails Animal Rescue located in Arlington, VA USA. Thankfully, we reached our goal during our last campaign and have decided to help sponsor Yogi, a one year old black lab, pit bull mix who has been described as being a calm and sweet dog. A total of $150 must be raised to save Yogi's life and he is in dire need of our help as time is very quickly running out for him. It is extremely troubling that black pets are more likely to be overlooked in shelters for numerous reasons; the stupidity and ignorance of people who believe black animals are associated with bad luck, they are also often viewed as more mundane, dull looking and less photogenic than animals with more color. Additionally, it is a proven fact that that black pets have the highest euthanization rate in shelters because of unfounded misperceptions and preconceived notions. In order to re-launch our last Million People For Pets teespring campaign (hoodies and tee shirts) and to further help Yogi, 14 more shirts need to be pre-ordered so that we can be guaranteed of going to print. Orders can be placed at: http://teespring.com/millionpeopleforpets. Please consider donating to Yogi's cause in any way you can so that his life can be saved.
